Mirror, Mirror – a poem by Time Has No Time – All Poetry
I see the mirror, just a bit down the hall.
It’s not asking if I am fair at all.
Who I see in it
is not the me
you see walking.
Who can it be?
In that mirror.
Not sure, so I decide I’m gonna look in.
But I get pulled to a space that’s chosen.
Uncomfortable
for a bit of time.
But then I am with
A great old pal of mine.
He says he sees that things are rough.
We must act to change this stuff.
We go to work.
In a room.
It’s away from home.
Now we will begin.
Mirror, mirror on that wall.
From where we are, we can see
A world that needs to change immediately.
So, we shall start.
We’ll then have to finish it, finish it.
Finish it, I say.
I may leave my friend in
that mirror on the wall.
But I’ll go back if that is what is called for.
Mirror mirror, on that wall.
What I see is not what you see.
It’s a trip, but not fictionality.
When I come home.
From my quest.
I hope that I came back
And made it better for the rest.
Hey, mirror, mirror on that wall.
I hear your call
I’ll finish it.
Mirror, mirror on that wall.
