What a chance you take.
You are after all quite young.
And just for what it’s worth
the risks ahead are not for the weak of heart.
But once you get to start
you’re in the game.
Once there was a guy
who offered for a dream.
And dreaming was his life.
But it never seemed to work out.
And the time that it did take out
made him harden at the thought
That it was no more.
I see the forest, I see the trees.
And you have to see them, too.
And you have to keep your head.
And that the first step is forever.
And you know that you will never
fall back to the past.
You’ll have to make these moments last.
What’s it like when you’re in the game?
Not really sure but I’m glad I came
If you’re keeping score just turn the cheek
none of that matters; it’s not for the meek.
I know of a girl
who thought she had it all.
But really it was fleeting.
Who knew that time would call a meeting?
So that now she looks around
You know she don’t like what she found.
her minds back in the game.
What’s it like when you’re in the game?
Not really sure but I’m glad I came
If you’re keeping score just turn the cheek
none of that matters; it’s not for the meek.
Now I see a child.
As curious as you.
And the shot you see is there.
All that horizon is in the air.
Go take what you say is yours.
It’s for love it’s not a chore.
And then you’re in the game.
What’s it like? well I don’t know
Keep on moving, leave it all the same.
