Impulse – impulse action.

Impulse – got my satisfaction.

Had my plans but they faded away.

Had my impulse lead me astray.

Guess I’ll get what I deserve.

I had my chance but I lost my nerve.

Momma told me I’d be lead to distraction.

And my life has been so impacted.

Like a tooth that’s just gotta be pulled.

All at a cost; I’m a hard headed mule.

I think I need a real time cop

to pull me back when I start to react.

So my impulse don’t give me a heart attack.

Days & days rolled on while you were waiting for me.

And now it’s gonna be all gone  due to my impulsivity.

Doors have closed,

time has passed,

I see again I am running late.

There’s a new day coming; I hear you humming.

Just got thru the door, got my ticket stamped.

As the plane took off I fell apart at the ramp.

It’s a beating I take that I do not need.

But what I need is you, just to pull me through.

Though at times I look like an imploding attraction.
