There was a gleam, or so they say.
Two balls of fire drifting further & further away.
Was it the matter or was it the meat?
Irresistible forces crushing and escalating the heat.
Wearing scars of battle the nations regroup.
Shoulder to shoulder, tattered; forward they move
to look for remnants of whatever there was.
The internal factions left what once was into dust.
Step up to the telescope to see what’s ahead.
Take notes of the missteps on which you were fed.
Make all corrections as you move down the pike.
Throw away all the bad stuff & plan out your strike.
Step up to the telescope & bring it into view.
Step up to the telescope and do all that you can do.
Step up to the telescope & bring a change of heart.
Step up to the telescope, don’t split your world apart.
The sounds of battle raged on for many years.
It brought pain & agony to everyone who was near.
When it’s all over no one will be satisfied.
Will anyone adjust? I think they’ll just stand back & cry.
Step up to the telescope to see what’s ahead.
Take notes of the missteps on which you were fed.
Make all corrections as you move down the pike
Throw away all the bad stuff & plan out your strike.
Step up to the telescope & bring it into view.
Step up to the telescope and do all that you can do.
Step up to the telescope & bring a change of heart.
Step up to the telescope, don’t split your world apart.
There doesn’t need to be a meteoric event.
After the clashes the cartridges were left & spent.
And if you look up into the wide, blue, open sky.
You’ll see two objects; parallel, flying high & wide.
