Can I take a minute with your soul?

You can hold it

I do not want to control.

We don’t have a lot of time.

And being with you

Eases my mind.

I always wonder why

We go around in circles

And we know the road will end.

I just want this moment.

Time is of the essence.

To be with you, my friend.

Let’s make our moment

in the present.

When I look into your eyes

I see a window open.

Skies are clear from what I see.

Let us fly; just you and me.

When we talk it’s like we’ve been here.

In many other lifetimes.

And yet here we are

front and center stage.

What I’ve learned from you,

and what I feel with you,

What I know of you,

What I want with you,

Circulates within.

So, can we now begin.

Before

Another life comes.

And we go through this again.

Only once will we get this chance

Only once before we sail off

Into another life,

Only once, we’ll do it again

Only once is all we need

To embrace this moment of one.
